Join us on Zoom from 10am – 12pm to learn ways we can tackle loneliness for ourselves and support other lonely people over Christmas

Grief is a natural response to loss. It's the emotional suffering people feel when something or someone you love is taken away. Often, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming. People may experience all kinds of difficult and unexpected emotions, from shock or anger to disbelief, guilt, and profound sadness.

Grief is different for everyone, but most people would agree that dealing with loss affects your mental health. Emotions associated with grief can vary in severity and people might feel like being on an emotional rollercoaster.

The journey to the point of acceptance is different for everyone and some people may take longer to get there than others. Eventually most people are able to accept the loss and start living a normal life again but sometimes this chronic grief can develop into a mental health disorder.
