Manual Handling Course (Modules A & B inanimate loads)
Manual Handling injuries account to 36% of all reported workplace accidents. The Health & Social Care sector accounts for 54% of all reported manual handling accidents.
Introduction
To provide a consistent approach to Manual Handling that ensures best practice in accordance with the All Wales Local Government Manual Handling Training Passport & Information Scheme.
Duration
The course is delivered over two days. We have no problems fitting in with existing work shift patterns and are happy to teach the course early morning, late evening or overnight if required!
• Module A – Spinal Awareness, legislation, your authority or company policies
• ergonomics, risk assessment, safe handling principles, team handling
• communication.
• Module B – Inanimate load handling, practical ergonomics
Assessment
Candidates are assessed by an objective test of multiple-choice questions and trainer observation of skills demonstrated competently throughout the course.
Costs
1 Day Course £50 per delegate or£490 for up to 12 candidates
½ Day Refresher £35 per delegate or £320 for up to 12 candidates
